We are a group of volunteers who look after our canal and riverbanks. We are active in the area of the old towpath that goes along the canal bank all the way up to the junction with the Shannon and further to the University of Limerick.
Some of us are also working on the Shannon banks on the Corbally side.
We started doing river bank and canal clean-ups in February 2012, under the name “We love Plassey riverbank”. Since then, we organised clean-ups, picnics, walks, tree planting, wild flower sowing and so on. Our main contact point is the Limerick Riverpath Volunteers Facebook Page.
